Vieron cuando un objeto les trae sensaciones cálidas y recuerdos de gente copada? Paz e Amor es uno de esos esmaltes que lo veo y me hace sonreir. Pero no porque es hermoso, sino porque me lo dió una persona hermosa :3

En Febrero estaba en Playa Serena de vacaciones, y leo que Meli del Blog Sacate Todo comenta que los había encontrado en un local de Miramar. Paz e Amor es un esmalte dificilísimo de conseguir, está discontinuo por Argentina, y es uno de los pocos flocados reales que vinieron. Cuando le conté que estaba solo a unos kilómetros, me respondió si quería ir y conocerla, y ni lo pensé. Agarré un esmalte azul con un efecto loco que había adquirido para mi viciosa colección en la farmacia local, y decidí llevarlo en forma de ofrenda a una de las divas bloggers que venía siguiendo hace un año. Arrastré a mi abuela y una amiga, agarré a Blueberry (mi auto) y salimos a la ruta.

During my February's vacations I was at Playa Serena (Mar del Plata city), and I read that Meli from the Sacate Todo blog comments that she had found this in one of Miramar's City shops. Paz e Amor is a nail polish really difficult to find, and it's one of the few real flakie polish that came to Argentina. When I told her that I was just a few kilometers away, she answered me if I wanted to go and meet her. I didn't even thought about it, I grabbed a strange blue nail polish I'd bought for my vicious collection in a local pharmacy, and I decided to take it as an offering to the diva blogger I'd been following for a year. I dragged down along my grandmother and a friend, Blueberry (my car) and we got on the road.

Para mi segundo intento de Water Marble para la Llama Technique Challenge, decidí perfeccionar la técnica. Así que agarré una cámara, unos cuantos esmaltes y un boul de vidrio... y le dí hasta que finalmente conseguí un Water Marble como la gente!

For my second attempt in Water Marble for the Llama Technique Challenge, I decided to master the technique. So, I grabbed a camera, a few nail polishes and a glass boul... and I tried until I finally got a Water Marble that looks like one should!

Sinceramente vi muchísimos videos de Water Marble para principiantes, pero jamás encontré uno que fuera claro, diera detalles interesantes, y no le quedara un desastre como resultado. Menos en español! Así que decidí armar este videito que me llevó toda una semana de momentos libres para editarlo, pero que creo que a todas les va a servir mucho para aprender de mis errores y logros!

I've watched a whole lot of Water Marble tutorials for beginners, but I've never found one that was clear, gave interesting details, and didn't have a complete disaster as a result! And imagine if I looked for videos in Spanish!  So, I've decided to do this tutorial video that took me a week of free time to edit, but I think it will make the whole marbeling process easier for you guys!

[V] Thuya Amore Rosa Swatch - Cobertura Azucarada - Simil Sugar Coat

Paso a hacer un swatch rápido porque me voy a ver la Luna Roja.
Creo que este esmalte es lo más similar a un Sugar Coat que ví Nacional Argentino. Sinceramente, lo compré porque parecía caramelo, y cuando me lo puse me sorprendió. Calculo que la empresa quería lograr un arenado suave, pero el resultado fue mucho mejor.

Retomando el reto de las técnicas del grupo Llama Nails, cuando leí IKAT la semana pasada lo primero que pensé es "Que corno es IKAT?". Con la sabiduría del señor Wikipedia en inglés, me enteré que es una técnica de teñido en patrones para telas que se hace cosiendo partes para que la tintura penetre de formas distintas generando imágenes. Aparentemente es el estilo mapuche que se encuentra cerca de los Andes, además de verse en todo el mundo.. lo que explica por qué el patrón se siente tan familiar acá en Argentina.

Getting back to the Llama Technique Challenge, when I read IKAT nails last week, the first thing that came to my mind was "What the hell is that? Can you eat it or what?". Thanks to the knowledge of Mr. Wikipedia, I found out that it's a dyeing technique to create patters in a fabric by binding several parts avoiding the ink to completely penetrate every level of binds. Apparently, is a mapuche style that can be found near the Andes, here in Argentina, and all over the world... which explains why it may look familiar to the Argentinian Culture.

Hace dos semanas estaba muy enferma y perdí el ritmo del reto Llama Technique Challenge, me quedé atascadísima! Tenía algo hecho para la entrada de "3D Nails", pero no era algo nuevo, que no supiera hacer. Me metí en este reto justamente para probar cosas nuevas, así que quize hacer algo más complicado, pero no sabía qué. Y de repente... mi novio me trajo un regalo de parte de su mamá! Azul, relacionado con las uñas.. no es una genia?

Two weeks ago I was really sick and lost the rythm of the Llama Technique Challenge. I was really stuck! I had something done for the "3D Nails" entry, but it wasn't something new, something I didn't know how to make. I entered this challenge to try new techniques, so I wanted to make something more complicated... but I didn't know what! And suddenly... my boyfriend showed up with a present from his mom! Blue, nail related.. isn't she the best?

[V] Llegaron los Maybelline Color Show a Argentina - Twilight Rays

Finalmente llegaron los Maybelline Color Show a los Farmacitys comunes, y les paso a mostrar qué tal son. Los colores que llegaron son super básicos y nada interesantes... excepto uno que me llamó enormemente la atención. Así que me sacrifiqué por ustedes (?) y me lo llevé para contarles qué tal está.

Lo primero que tengo que contarles, es que me parecieron mucho más grande de lo que las recordaba de Google. Más abajo les cuento si mi memoria estaba totalmente distorsionada.. o no (Risa Macabra).

Finally, the Maybelline Color Show showed up (LOL) in Argentina to the Farmacitys (our Sephora, you know), and here I am showing you one of them (OK, stop with the show puns). The shades Maybelline brought are all ultra basic and not at all interesting... Except one that caught my attention A LOT. So, I sacrificed myself for you guyz (?), and bought it to tell you how they are.

The first thing I have to tell you, is that they seemed much more bigger than I remembered from Google. Further, I will tell you if my memory was completely distorted.. or not (Macabre Laughter).

[V] Ombre Nails - Degradé Holográfico, imposible de cansarse de él

Una terminación que jamás hartará a las masas esmaltoadictas son los esmaltes holográficos. El brillo, la variedad interminable de colores en los que vienen, el arcoiris hipnotizante que crean... realmente son los esmaltes más buscados en Argentina en este momento. Por suerte Farmacity empezó a traer los famosísimos Na Mira de Impala, así que las que recién se enteran vayan corriendo a buscarlos que están $19. Yo ya tenía 3 desde hace como medio año y hoy me llevé dos mas con tal de usarlo sin culpa. Se sienten identificadas? Otros holos que se consiguen son I Heard That y I'm not a lion de China Glaze en las margaritas, pero están al rededor de $120 cada uno.

A nail polish finish that will never get the nailpolish-aholics fed up with it is the holographic! The shine, the endless variety of colors, the mesmerizing rainbow that they create... they truly are the most wanted polishes here in Argentina. Farmacity (like a Sephora here) has started bringing the brazilian Na Mira form Impala, and it's extremely cheap, and it's the only semi linear holographic that can be found for the regular everyday shopper. There's also some China Glaze around (I Heard That and I'm not a lion), but they are extremely expensive.
